Amer Stainless, based in Amman, Jordan, is a leading manufacturer and supplier of high-quality stainless steel products and welding consumables. Specializing in durable and reliable solutions for industrial and commercial applications, Amer Stainless prides itself on precision, consistency, and customer satisfaction. Among its key offerings are the AWS Class E308/308L-16 electrodes, known for their exceptional welding performance and corrosion resistance. These electrodes are engineered to meet international standards, making them ideal for critical stainless steel welding projects. By combining technical expertise with superior materials, Amer Stainless ensures clients receive products that deliver both strength and longevity.
AWS Class E308/308L-16 electrodes are designed for welding 18% chromium and 8% nickel stainless steels. Their chemical composition typically includes 0.03% carbon, 19–21% chromium, 9–12% nickel, and trace amounts of manganese, silicon, and molybdenum. Mechanically, these electrodes provide excellent tensile strength of approximately 75 ksi (515 MPa) and good elongation of around 30%, ensuring ductility and resistance to cracking. The E308L variant features low carbon content, minimizing carbide precipitation and enhancing corrosion resistance, making it particularly suitable for welding thin sections or applications requiring high corrosion resistance.

These electrodes offer high corrosion resistance and are suitable for welding 18-8 stainless steel. They have a heavy coating for enhanced stability and smoother arc performance. Sizes typically range from 1/8″ to 5/32″ in diameter.
Offering excellent corrosion resistance, these electrodes are used for welding similar types of stainless steel. The light coating aids in maintaining a clean arc with minimal spatter. They are available in sizes from 3/32″ to 1/8″ in diameter.
These electrodes provide robust corrosion resistance and are designed for shielded arc welding processes. They ensure stable arc performance and minimal weld defects. Common sizes include 1/16″ to 3/16″ in diameter.
Amer Stainless provides the best AWS Class E308/308L-16 Electrodes after being strictly tested through hardness, spectro analysis, PMI, flaring, micro and macro tests, pitting resistance, and IGC tests. We provide all commercial invoices, packaging lists, and labels along with the attested Certificate of Origin and Third-Party Inspection Certificates, which assure quality products and exceptional customer satisfaction.
These electrodes are widely used in welding austenitic stainless steels, including types 304 and 304L. They are ideal for both general fabrication and repair work, offering smooth arc performance and excellent bead appearance. Common applications include chemical processing equipment, food and beverage industry machinery, architectural structures, pipelines, and pressure vessels exposed to moderate corrosive environments. The low-carbon E308L variant is especially valuable for welding thin materials or areas susceptible to sensitization. These electrodes provide strong, durable welds with superior corrosion resistance, making them a preferred choice for projects requiring both structural integrity and aesthetic quality.
